Click on a title to open a 完整的记录. In addition to the title and the author's name the 完整的记录 includes:
- 印: The place of publication, the publisher's name and the year of publication.
- Physical description: The total number of pages (if describing a book) or the running time (if describing a DVD/streaming video).
- 图书馆 of Congress 主题 headings (LCSH): Search terms based on the subject of the item. 使用 LCSH to help you find similar items.
The 完整的记录 also includes information about the book's location:
- 地点: The name of the library the item is located at and the collection it is shelved in.
- 电话号码: The number you need to find the book/DVD on the shelf.
- 状态: Whether or not the book/DVD is available in the library (CHECKED IN) or checked out (in which case the computer will display the due date).

By default the catalog searches for all material types. To limit your search to online resources (电子书 and streaming videos), select OPE电子竞技官网 - e-resources from the drop-down location menu:
You can also add the terms streaming video, DVD or ebook"to your search. Examples: religion and DVD, or powerpoint and ebook.
Limit by Location
By default the catalog searches all OPE电子竞技官网 locations. 使用 drop-down location menu to limit your search to a specific campus or to include Omaha Public 图书馆 in your search.

Limit by Title, 作者, or 主题
By default the catalog performs a 关键字 search, meaning it retrieves all records containing your search term(s) 在任何地方 within the record (title, contents note, LCSH, etc.). Sometimes this results in a large number of records 那 aren't related to what you're really looking for.
To improve your results you can also perform other types of searches: Title, 作者 or 主题.
标题search
A 标题search retrieves an alphabetical list of titles 那 开始 with your search term(s).
作者search
Perform an 作者search if you are looking for items written or produced by a particular person or organization.
An 作者search retrieves an alphabetical list of author's names 那 开始 with your search term(s). You must type the author's last name followed by the first name. Example: "Cather Willa" NOT "Willa Cather."
主题search
A 主题search retrieves an alphabetical list of 图书馆 of Congress 主题 headings (LCSH) 那 开始 with your search term(s).
It is important 那 you use the 正确LCSH. 例如, if you are searching for information about the death penalty, the 正确LCSH is "capital punishment." Please ask library staff for help identifying the 正确LCSH for your topic.
