Students in the HDIM program will learn how data in healthcare is transformed into information to drive the quality and safety of healthcare. They will learn how to maintain privacy and security of health information in an industry that is moving toward an increasingly electronic and global environment.
Graduates of the HDIM program are eligible to take the national Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) exam.

APPLICATION FOR HDIM PROGRAM: Admission to the HDIM program is selective. Applications for the HDIM program consist of the application, two letters of reference, 一篇文章, an application checklist, technical standards form and unofficial transcripts. Application packets are accepted anytime, but are reviewed twice per year for the fall and spring cohorts as outlined below:

认证: The Health Data and Information Management Program accreditor of Metropolitan 社区 College is the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
